George McCullough’s Artist Bio: George McCullough was born in Long Beach, California and died October 15, 2005, at age 82 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  After receiving his BFA and MFA degrees from Iowa State University, McCullough was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study art at the Academia Belle Arti in Florence and the Academie de la Grande Caumiere in Paris.  He was a local artist in Fort Wayne since 1965. George McCullough's artwork spans from his early studies to the golden era of the Fort Wayne Art School, where he taught, and beyond. During his Fort Wayne career, McCullough was an artist, art teacher for the Fort Wayne Art Institute and Associate Professor of Art at IPFW, retiring in 1984. His work has been featured in numerous galleries, exhibitions and showcases.  He is known for: Painting, Stencil Printmaking, Stained-Glass Design & teaching.
